What’s a game you really should play, even if you normally don’t play games at all? It’s The Walking Dead. Even if your belong to the category ‘faint hearted’, give it a go.

Here’s why:

1. you can play it on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. No need for a video game console.

2. It’s like a catchy film, a thrilling movie. It has a good script and dito -very credible- characterization.

3. its episodic structure/model may well change the way we consume game.

4. your play and story is probably different than mine. And different than that of your friend.

5. the sound is thrilling. Not screaming loud nor bombastic noisy.

6. the hero is not a typical hero. He’s a gloomy, almost silent character.

7. the game is emotionally affecting.

An interesting initiative by Wharton School’s legal studies: business ethics professor Kevin Werbach and New York Law School professor Dan Hunter made lawyers and World of Warcraft players create the first course on gamification.

Werbach and Hunter recently authored For the Win: How Game Thinking Can Revolutionize Your Business, which helps business leaders to think like game designers in addressing business challenges and provides a roadmap for integrating gamification into business efforts. The book explains what gamification really is, how companies like Microsoft and Deloitte are using it, where game thinking works best and pitfalls to avoid when gamifying.

If you’re hesitating this book is yet another “trending topic copy” then read the interview with Werbach & Hunter first.
